Clean Boost pedals are a common pedal to have on a pedal board.  Typically, used at the end of the signal to boost the signal without any additional overdrive/distortion.

Well one of our favorite setups is to have a clean boost at the begining and at the end of the pedal chain...yes two clean boost pedals!

Why? Well one can be used as a solo booster (the one at the end) and the other can be a 2nd gain stage for ANY overdrive, Fuzz or distortion pedal.  What it will do is kick the overdrive, Fuzz or Distortion pedal into hyper overdrive.  It doesn't really get any louder as much as it just saturates ever more!

Great for many situations but especially for those who love that ONE overdrive pedal that has it on medium settings but wants that 2nd stage during that solo.

The PepTone Clean Boost Plus pedal can actually do more with it since it has the Comp Grit setting for the extra gritty spice to the Clean Boost...

Since it is True Bypass it is a pedal that is really useful to have in your chain and can even be used as an "always on" pedal to give that extra "cut through" tone.
