Sometimes you just want a Big Muff with a more focused Fuzz tone.  This Russian Big Muff Mod is tamer but holds a vintage vibe you don't get to experience from normal Fuzzes.  The definition is brought to life and gives you a wide range of versatile tones.  With the added Mids knob you can now cut through the mixes.  Yes, your Big Muff can now hold some push with the band. 

Mods:

• Upgraded pots and military grade wiring; all of the Pots and Wiring are gutted and removed. EVERY bit of wiring is reworked with our military grade wiring.
  
  
• Added Mid cut/boost knob to control and dial in TONS of Fuzz tones. This allows you to scoop the Mids (classic Big Muff) or push the Mids for total control of the Fuzz tone and feel.  This is DRAMATIC Mod, gives you total control. (This added knob is the 4th knob in the middle of the pedal on the picture.)
  
  
• Hand picked NOS (New Old Stock) Transistors upgrade for a more Vintage Muff Fuzz tone.
• Fine tune the Transistors for better sustain and gain structure.
• Better tone control from the overall structure of the Fuzz
• Clipping section is modified for thicker/tube-like feel and tone.
  
  
• Added 9v "Boss Style" adapter so you can now power the Big Muff with your power source!

This is a Big Muff Pedal focused on vintage inspired tone with versatile tone options to give you many Fuzz tones suitable for ANY guitar amp.

Focused on the early 1970's Triangle Big Muff (2nd Edition) we use New Old Stock (NOS) 2n1533 transistors for a thicker and solid Fuzz tone. Overall this Russian Big Muff Mod has less gain/sustain than our NYC Mod but we feel has a more focused Fuzz tone that is very defined, warm and dynamic.  Its still a Big Muff...there is a good amount of gain but less than the NYC.

We have totally revamped all of the guts inside. The pots and wiring are REALLY cheap. We installed new high quality pots and replace the flimsy cheap wires with military grade wiring.

After some tweaks and tuning to the new transistors this pedal is solid and smooth with an amazing touch responsive fuzz tone.

One of the important Mods done here for versatility sake is the Mids knob that is added (middle knob below the gain knob). This gives you the range of a classic Big Muff with HUGE scooped mids and can throw you into an all out Mids pushed Fuzz...giving you that Fuzz tone that is aggressive and can push through ANY mix.
