Here it is! The ultimate Tube Screamer Mod we have seen, the results are total Tube Screamer Overdrive Bliss! Yes, it is the Bliss Mod.

What you get here is a New TS-9DX Tube Screamer with our PepTone Clean Boost Plus built INSIDE the Tube Screamer.  (We had to built the Boost section inside the battery compartment so there is no longer a battery function for this Mod). The Boost only has (and only needs) the volume control on the right bottom side of the pedal.  Real easy, turn up and down the Boost as you much or little as you please!

So you get a Modified Tube Screamer (using the traditional footswitch that the pedal normally operates on) AND you get the PepTone Clean Boost (using the added stomp switch where the Ibanez logo is) which allows you to control two separate pedals on one pedal. 

In addition to these two pedals you see a toggle switch in the center of the knob section? Well this toggle switch allows you to control and switch the order of the two pedals! Yes! Choose which comes first: Boost to Tube Screamer OR Tube Screamer to Boost...this allows you to get completely different results when using both effects.

The Tube Screamer is Modified with the traditional 808 Mods, upgraded Op-Amp Chip along with an input impedance adjustment to give it a vintage "808" or "Brown Mod" feel for a more traditional Tube Screamer tone.  We don't see the need to modify the Tube Screamer to be something that its not! It is a Tube Screamer.  In addition you have the TS-9DX knob that gives you the standard TS-9DX tone, + (plus), Hot and Turbo Modes to give you many additional tones to the traditional Tube Screamer Tone.

The PepTone Clean Boost circuit inside the pedal is a very transparent single FET Booster that doesn't change or alter your tone...leaves it as is.  We don't like boosters with tone/EQ knobs because it seems like you always end up with piercing highs or flabby lows.  So we just made the Clean Boost circuit with a "no tone touching" line. 

The combination of these two pedals is just tonal bliss. Hence, the Bliss Mod. 

Using a Clean Boost BEFORE the Tube Screamer is like having a Tube Screamer with two gain stages...you can have your setting for what amount of overdrive you want; then if you have a solo or just want that extra push stomp on the Clean Boost part and it will PUSH the Tube Screamer harder giving it MORE saturation and overdrive...sounds like you get the pedal really cooking hot! 

Now using the Clean Boost AFTER the Tube Screamer is just a traditional setting of using a Clean Boost to Boost the signal. 

The two circuits work INDEPENDENTLY of each other.  Meaning, you can use just the Boost or Just the Tube Screamer by themselves.  So if you wish to just use the Boost without the Tube Screamer...you can!

Mods completed:

*Tube Screamer Mods: Op-Amp Chip upgrade to TI4588P for the highest Overdrive fidelity and keeping true to the vintage Tube Screamer Tone.  The 808 Mods or "Brown" Mods are completed.  Input Impedance Mod to allow the Tube Screamer to really let the pickups work with the pedal better.

*PepTone Clean Boost built INSIDE the pedal (uses switch where the Ibanez Logo is) with one knob for Volume to adjust the amount of Boost/Push desired. 

*Upgraded In and Out Jacks to Switchcraft jacks for Maximum durability and connection.

*Invert toggle switch added to choose the order of the two effects: 1. Tube Screamer to > 2. Clean Boost OR 1. Clean Boost to> Tube Screamer.  Gives you different uses for the Clean Boost.
