Not just a Hi-Fi Mod.

The Boss TR-2 Tremolo pedal was a decent pedal to start with.  The PepTone Mod takes it to new heights to make the TR-2 a complete package.  You have a great vintage feel and sounding Tremolo with many add-ons now, read on.

*The Op-Amp Chip Modification Polishes the Tremolo Tone.  Nice *hint* of compression to give it that Tube Amp Tremolo feel.  This polishes up the tone to be more balanced and retains your tone rather than changing it.  This really gives the pedal an amp feel.  Transparent but really gives it push.

*Pulsing LED: This Mod has the added LED pulsing to your Tremolo Rate/Speed.  Now you can SEE your Tremolo Rate. (LED is located above the "Depth" knob.

*The toggle on the left (below the Speed Knob) is a volume option switch.  You have two settings: Fixed and Variable.   Toggle the switch one way and you have an even volume setting with the effect ON.  No Drop and no Boost in volume when the Tremolo is on.  Now turn the toggle the other way and now the Volume Knob to the right is engaged so you can choose if you want a Boosted Tremolo effect when the pedal is ON.

*Volume Knob Mod adds the adjustable Volume knob to tweak your Tremolo volume as you wish.  The Volume adjustment is only engaged when the pedal is ON.  Can give your Trem effect some great push if you want to push forward with your Trem part. 

So with the Volume knob and Toggle Mod options you can have the pedal set at a boosted setting (via Volume Knob on the right side) and use the toggle to change between your "custom" boost/volume adjustment with the Volume knob and then toggle back to "standard" volume that is neither boosted or dropped.  (Yes, we fix the volume drop problem with our Fixed volume setting).

*Mods completed to remove some of the background noise.

*Large Speed/Rate Mod: This Mod upgrades the Speed/Rate Pot for a smoother taper and adds a large raised rubber knob that gives the user the capabilities to roll the knob with their foot.  Change the speed of the Tremolo on the fly!  Now making adjustments during live show isn't so tedious! 

Additional pedal notes:

  The added volume knob gives the pedal an additional function: A sweet clean boost! Turn down the Depth to "0" and kick the pedal on: the Trem effect is off but your Boost is still functioning!

The volume option toggle gives the musican some great control when playing live gigs.  Have different songs with different Tremolo volume requirments? This does it! So you can use the "standard" setting that is netiehr dropped or boosted and then toggle the other way to engage your customer volume setting via Volume knob.  So when engaging the "Standard" toggle side the Volume Knob is killed and won't change your setting.
